Another option for grass is sod. The advantage to using sod over seed is that you will have an instant lawn. Sod is a great idea for those who desire a lush, green lawn without the wait. Using sod can be a good idea if you have kids that need a place to play soon, or pets that would disturb a seeded area. In our area, we are able to install sod anytime of year.
